Dr. Goodman provides private flute lessons in Central Ohio at both Otterbein University and from her home in Columbus. She has over 20 years of private teaching and over 15 years of college teaching experience.
Private lessons are typically 30 minutes for high school students and younger. Older students may prefer a 60 minute lesson. Private lessons include one on one instruction. Topics covered include: tone development, artistic interpretation, technique
development, rhythm counting, etudes, repertoire, band music, small ensemble music, and duets.
Dr. Goodman’s private studio has the opportunity to participate in a yearly studio recital and a performance at the Central Ohio Flute Association’s annual flute day at Ohio State.
Lessons are offered to students of all ages and abilities. Evening and weekend time slots are available. Contact me to schedule a lesson.
"We have known Dr. Kim Goodman for 9 years. She has given private lessons to two of our daughters. Both of them have excelled in the Grove City HS Band as a result. Lexi, our second daughter to be taught by Dr. Goodman, is currently the Flute Section Leader and a member of Symphonic band for the past two years. Dr. Goodman is a genuine and devoted teacher to her students and goes above and beyond for them. We would highly recommend her to anyone seeking a private lesson teacher."
